Purpose of the Policy
The purpose of the Domestic Travel by Students Policy is to promote the safety and well-being of MSU students by providing clear guidelines for student domestic travel undertaken to reach an activity or event organized and/or sponsored by MSU or to represent MSU at certain events and activities.
This policy provides a delineation of responsibility related to student domestic travel, general risk management and emergency preparedness and response guidelines, a reminder of student conduct obligations, and creates a registration system for travel outside of 25 miles from a student’s home campus. Through this policy, MSU aims to create a safe and enriching travel experience for all MSU students.
